Good for a laugh:

Wifey and I were crusing home from work yesterday and pulled up along side of a electric utility truck with a couple of power poles on a trailer sitting at a light.

I was blab'n away about something at work while Judi was looking out the window, when she turned and calmly intruped me and said I was just sitting here and thinking how many fence post that would make.

I about spit my soda all over the windshild busting my gut laughing so hard....I knew it was love at first site 16 years ago when I married her...now I know I was right.

A good country gal is hard to find, I've got mine do you have yours??? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This spring I told my wife I wanted a new CUT and she went with me to look. I found one I thought was nice...she made me get a bigger one /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
this summer I told her I thought we needed a full size tractor for the property we just bought. She went with me to look at a used tractor. I found a nice 50 h.p. tractor. She argued until she convinced me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif that I needed something bigger...95 h.p. is a lot of tractor. I think she just wanted the CUT to herself. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Hmmm...uh dear...maybe we should look at a small backhoe...

25 years and she still puts up with me.

I've got mine!

When I just bought my TC18, I told her that I would upgrade it to a hydro model for her and she said, "It's not a REAL tractor unless it has gears."

Out in the trailer yard where I work, there's an old Preston trailer that's been sitting there since they went out of business a few years ago. My wife wanted to know if there was any way we could get that home-- she said if you took the wheels and axles off of it, it would make a great shed! Nice roll up door and everything!

There's not many wives out there like that!

I sure do and for thirty- eight years.

This city boy got lucky when I met my farmer's daughter.

This may have been posted before but here goes. When we moved to land more fitting for my wife, right in the middle of some large farms, we needed a tractor. I spent months reading and learning about compact tractors. The visits and test drives were done and I had picked out the tractor I thought was a good fit. All my wife asked was that she be able drive it before the purchase. The 4300 that I had picked out was a hard unit to find on any of the lots in our area. So when a salesman called to tell us they had one on the lot, we headed over for a little test drive.

We were also on our way out for the evening so Jane was dressed up heels and all. She got some strange looks from the two salesman in the yard when she climbed onto the tractor and started it up, ran it around the yard and even dug into a dirt pile with the FEL. Satisfied that I had the right tractor, she climbed down and told me it was just perfect.

As we thanked the salesman and headed to our car, a young man called from the service area door and asked if we had any daughters at home. That is when we realized that five of the techs were watching my farm girl put the tractor to the test. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

lol. sounds like a good one tim. i've got mine, part way through the 4th year now, and she keeps tellin me we need more land.( i'm not gonna argue, but i haven't found the $$ for it) when i met her, she had her own truck, and lived on her fathers farm. she's got no problem runnin our old JD around the feilds if the need arises.
even better, she loves anything to do with firewood.... wish i thought the same

Mine owned her own chainsaw when I met her and now thinks we need a backhoe & a chipper, so wants to wait to trade her car til we get those paid for. ... and she really needs a new car ..When we're clearing - I run the chainsaw and she runs the tactor hauling brush to the burn pile - better help than my son sometimes.
