Yesterday was a very happy day and a very sad day. Happy because I ordered a M59, which is the tractor I've been wanting for sometime but was very apprehensive about spending that much $$. The wife said gO for it

Now for the sad part. As some of you know I have been a John Deere fan for over 13-yrs. now and still own one. At the beginning of October I ordered a JD from my local dealer with which, I have spent over $70,000. On Equipment over many yrs. But because of Lying, Yelling and disrespect on numerous occasions and much prodding from friends and family that know the situation I canceled that order. Meaning I went back on my Word, which I try to never do:ashamed: So on the bright side, now I'll have Green and Orange sitting down at My pit, hence the apples&Oranges:laughing:

Certainly feel for you in this situation... It really doesn't matter is a product is 100% lights out fantastic, if you can't get the service and backing from the dealer of said product, then you've got to move on... :confused3: Not just related to tractor purchases, but on any big-ticket item!

i feel for you having that prob with a dealer youve spent alot of money with.when i start doing business with a dealer i make it clear to them you be good to me ill be good to you.an if not ill take my business elsewhere when i need something.i used to like NH but ive made it clear to them that i wont do business with them on big ticket items.an they know why i wont buy from them.

Heck, I like a variety of colors, we have green, orange, red, red and gray as well as yellow.

There is a Kubota/Case and John Deere dealer in our area with which I won't deal with, so I can sure understand your situation.

When I was shopping for a utility tractor, the green dealers (I visited 3 of them) wouldn't even call me back. Never understood that, I think that around here, they don't have much interest in selling a little tractor.

The orange dealers were great, friendly and very informative. Only one really wanted my business though, and he got it.

I understand from reading various threads on here that different areas yield different results between the colors and dealers.

I'd hardly call that going back on your word.

Congrats on the new orange machine! The JD guys are going to be green with envy.

You are not alone on this subject, and definitely will be happier with some good willed support on your purchase...And paint is only skin deep...

I think it's a little of both. It seems dealers and salesmen are selling their soles for a buck and will say and do anything for a sale. We all have too do weeks of research on this and other forums too make sure we are paying for what we want, and getting what we asked for.
