Probably 15 years ago I bought a auto darkening helmet from Northern Tool. It's an entry level helmet, but it's served me well. Well, the other day, one of the knobs that connects the helmet to the suspension system snapped the stud off. This helmet has several flaws that I would love to improve upon (not blocking light from behind, slips off, sometimes has a delay when cold), but for now I'd rather just repair it and get back to burning. I was thinking I'd at least want to upgrade the suspension system to one that wouldn't be as prone to slip off when I'm out of position. I found some on ebay, but the seller doesn't know if they will fit. Does anybody know if these suspension systems are universal or am I looking at having to replace the helmet?

Here are some ebay options I was looking at:
Lincoln KP376-1 Headgear for FGS 325D Welding Helmet 1582843742 | eBay
Weldcote HEADGEARADJ Replacement Adjustable Headgear for Welding Helmets | eBay
Miller 256174 Generation II Headgear | eBay

The only real contact point between shield part of helmet and head gear is where it pivots.... If there is locking pins or such to orient helmet/headgear in proper position during work, I would not be opposed to buying any of them and modding helmet.... Ultimate I would considering a upgrade if it were me, but then we have different approach to situation...

I would go for the one that appears to be best comfort/fit and go from there....
