Quick question to save me some research time, does anyone know what a 4310 with a 300cx loader and a 48 back hoe weighs. I'm looking into equipment trailers and need to know what's the minimum gvw I need in case I find a decent used one (in the 7000-7500 range), if I buy new I'll get a 5 - 6 ton which I'm sure would be enough. I had the weights before for the tractor and loader but had trouble finding the BH's weight. Now I can't remember any of them.
Thanks, John

I can't help with the weight, but for that setup I'd want a 10k rated trailer for the safety margin. I would GUESS your setup weighs about 5,000lbs, and a decent trailer is going to weigh 2,000lbs putting you right at the limit of a 7k rated trailer.

Thanks, I am leaning towards the 5 ton, but then everyone wishes they had bigger, so was even considering a 6 ton. my 3500 will handle up to a 12,000 pound trailer the way it's set up now.

I hauled my 4310 with loaded tires , rear calcium, front foamed ,430 loader and 48 hoe using a Bri Mar, 12000lb 16 ft trailer. The reason I went with 12000lb over the 10000lb was for the 16'' tires vs 15''. If I had to do it all over again I would have purchased the 18' deck to better position the tractor and bucket for tongue weight. I since traded the 4310 on a 110 tlb and they both haul the same ,the 110 TLB tires are not loaded and weighs in at 7600lbs , I would guess to say the 4310 with hoe and loaded tires was close to the 6500-7000lbs range .

Hope this helps .

Thanks for the heads up on the length, I was thinking 18 feet was to long and was considering a 16 footer, now I'll just stick with the 18. But I can't believe that this little 4310 could weigh as much as a 110! even with loaded tires.
I did notice the much beefier tires on the 6 tons, and though I think I only need the 5 ton I know everyone wishes they got something bigger after they've owned theirs for awhile, that happened to me with my dump trailer, I had the Bri Mar 6'x12' 5 ton low profile on my wish list for 3 years, then when I could finally afford it, I got scared and thought it looked to big, ended up getting the 10 footer and regretted it.

My 3520 with a 447 hoe and 300cx loader and bucket will be barely light enough to haul on a 7000 GVW trailer. The 448 hoe puts it over the weight limit. I got rid of my 7,000 GVW trailer and got a 9990 GVW trailer.

I'd definitely go with a 10,000 GVW trailer or bigger. A 16' will be too small to get the tongue weight correct. In some states, you need a commercial license to haul a trailer of 10,000 GVW or higher. That's why you'll see a 12,000 GVW trailer stamped with a 9990 GVW tag.
