I have a Stihl, but can't buy them for $200. Has been cutting brush with a blade and string whipping weeds for going on 12 years now. Doesn't miss a beat.

Are you looking for the brand Weed Eater or any brand?

When you go from a string trimmer to weed eaters that can handle the brush cutting heads there is a bit of a price jump. I have a Stihl also but it costs more than $200.00.

I have a 20 year old Stihl FS66 straight shaft trimmer that keeps working for me. I got it used and "wore out" but it has served me for 12 years. I did replace the output shaft bearings for $30 a month ago. Bearings sourced at bearing store. I bought a used 10 year old Stihl hedge trimmer about the same time. It made a weird noise. When I took it apart I noticed a broke part. My dealer ordered a new $30 part. I installed that part and the hedge trimmer is quiet and works fine. Tales about Stihl having parts for years kind of like John Deere. Parts might cost a bit but they probably will have them.

Craigs List can be your friend if you live anywhere near a big city.
