We love our grass in Fort McCoy!

No, not that type. I had Southern States come out and fertilize/seed about 8.5 acres in late June. After about 6 weeks of decent rain, the pasture went from bare to there. I think I'm gonna over-seed it with Rye grass in September. Any thoughts?

Last fall my pasture was completely torn up to put in a geothermal field. My wife was mad as heck about it! They did a pretty good job of smoothing the ground when they were done but they didn't put in any seed... that was my responsibility. I bought a bag of fescue from the local feed store and spread it with a cheapo push spreader. I'm very pleasantly surprised at how well it came back. Now you can't even tell it had been disturbed. And I have very clayey, acidic soil that is supposed to be hard to grow grass in. Grass can be pretty resilient!

They called it pasture grass mix, but I'm thinking it's mainly Bermuda?

Yes u can put rye on it during the cooler months.
bahia here also and had no problem with rye in it
