Waxing spray paint??

Hey guys... I've been doing some touchup spray painting on my Kubota. The spray paint looks great but the original paint is a tad faded. I'm sure a good compound and/or wax would give it new life. My question is how about the places I've touched up with the spray paint? Can I wax it like I would the factory paint? I want to make it all blend the best as possible. I guess I've never ran into this problem so I need some input! I used Kubota Orange II spray paint.

Can you use rubbing compound on the rest of the tractor?
Its sold at auto parts stores and its very cheap $$
Try it with the rubbing compound & a WET rag , the harder you rub the better it looks,then try some wax on it to bring out some shine & protection from the rain ect... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It is fine to wax spary paint,,,

At least I've never had any problem...

You just wanna be sure its dry of course, and cured
Someone else may comment that it need to be left alone for a week or ????

I've never waxed it unless its been on the metal for a few weeks or months.... at least not that i can remember

I suggest that you use a cleaner wax such as Turtle Wax and a soft cloth to bring out the shine. When doing touch up work, I usually rub down the adjoining areas with white rubbing compound first and then do my spray touch up. After everything is dry and set, then I go over the entire area with Turtle Wax and give it a good polishing. I have found that this is the best way to get a good match. If you paint before cleaning up the old paint, then you are sealing in the dirt film on the old areas and adhesion isn't the best.

Spray paint is thinner.. but yes.. it does wax fine.
