A Wauk XAHUIU power unit has turned up in Knappa, OR (I believe--repeat, believe, the last "IU" stands for "Industrial Unit").
X's, XA's and XAH's were used in various late 20's to 37 or so trucks, combines and other Ag eqpmt, Fairmont Railcars, and Lord knows what-all.
I DO NOT know what the "U" in XAHU indicates, nor how much commonality (if any!) this power unit has with the various truck/Ag/etc versions of the X/XA/XAH.
I have an email with a rough desc of the exterior, indicating the price is "around $300", and that the seller has refused $100.
I have no personal interest in this item; just trying to prevent it possibly being eventually scrapped.
It's on Craigslist, Portland, OR, NORTH COAST (nc) SUBSECTION, under "farm & garden" as "Antique Power Unit". I will forward copy of email upon request (pitybud@msn.com).
