At any tractor place they should have an adapter to go from garden hose to air valve. Jack it up and let air out to start. Then let out air occasionally as it fills. Dont forget and let pressure get too high. Water pressure is usually much higher than you want in your tires

tractor supply, napa, etc.. all sell a burp valve for 5-10$ to hook a garden hose tot he valve stem.. just remember to burp now and then.

can dump in a gallon of eco safe rv antifreeze to make it a slushy in winter.

jack up axle.. use fuel hose over valve stem, after core removal and funel to put in ballast... .. then add water.. repalce valve core.. air up to nominal pressure.. fill to 75-90% fill.. or at top level of rim...

What soundguy says. But after you get the fluid in...........inflate your tire to the proper air pressure as per manufacturers recommendations, or.......put enough air in your tire so that the tread is in full contact with the concrete or paved driveway.

I overfilled mine with air........then let air out to get the tread in good contact with a concrete pad. Seemed to work better.

I DID say to air up to nominal pressure... 2nd to last line of my post ?????

Never said you didn't......just stating the same procedure that I tell everyone that asks this question.:)

EDIT: I edited my previous post to add more info...........I think we may have posted near the same time.

Double edit: I honestly have no clue as to the air pressure in my tires......I just keep the full tread width in contact with the ground. That's where you get the traction you need, from any tire you choose to use, on your tractor.

You may want to use some antifreeze just to minimize rust.

echo echo.. :)

as for airing.. I almost never use an air gauge on a tractor tire ( off road tire ) anymore.. just air till the profile is correct for the application.. etc..

Most of the larger tractors have a two piece valve stem that unscrews in the middle. DO NOT REMOVE THE SECTION NEXT TO THE RIM. The top part will come out and leave a male thread about an inch from the rim. The seam may not be readily visible for this but the entire stem will be metal IF it has this type of stem. This allows for much faster filling with a garden hose that removing the schrader valve. The water fill attachment will come with some adapters that you can fit to either of these points. Filling at the larger connection, you will just screw the fill attachment directly on whereas filling thru the schrader valve port you will have to add one of the adapters. I find it easier to put in the big half of the valve stem than fumble with the little schrader valve, but that is just fumble finger me.

How much antifreeze is necessary for the sole purpose of minimizing rust? I also am down south with little concern for freezing.
