How the heck do I get the water/condensation out of my 300 gal tank. I just put on a water fileter in addition to the particle filter but it becomes clogged/water saturated very quickly. Any advice is good advice, Thanks, G

Does your tank have a bottom drain?

Have you added conditioner to the tank?

Could you put a drainiable clear separator prior to the filters?

Is your 300 gallon tank a gravity feed? If so, they usually put slope in them such that the back of the tank is lower than where the fuel comes out. That way the water settles to the bottom and flows to the rear of the tank where it can be drained (there is usually another plug on that end of the tank).

Do that, drain the water out once in a while, and also filter it like you're doing and you should have no trouble, provided the tank itself doesn't have big leaks where water can get in.

It is weird. I have tried to drain it from the bottom drain plug but do not seem to be getting the water. I only get the water through the pump outlet. Maybe today I will put a level on the tank and see which way it is tipped. I am sure it is not perfectly level.

Yes I added additive. Yes there are two filters before it comes out the pump. They clog after 5-6 gallons are dispensed.

Perhaps bypass the filters and start draining into a barrel till you get to a good product. Don't know how you will use the contaminated barrel product but at least you should clear your tank.

Started thinking about things after posting and reading some replies. I got out my level and the tank had settled to the pump end. I raised her up and biased the level to the drain end and got out 3/4 gal. of water instantly. Thanks for making me think. Problem solved. Later, G

Check it again in a couple of days and you will get more out after it settles from moving. I had a hose bib on the drain end of mine and would just crack it slightly open and fill a gallon glass jar. Then I would let it settle for a couple of hours and look for a indication of water. If I found any, I would continue to do this once a day till it was all gone. You can dump the fuel back into the top of the tank with the use of the water separating funnel.
