Might be a crazy question, but I was wondering if it was okay to get my Kubota wet. I washed it a few days ago. I didn't spray the engine with water, but I did spray all the areas in front of the radiator.

Are there certain areas where a little water can cause serious harm to my Kubota? I know the dealer leaves them out in the rain, but opening the hood and spraying in there is kinda different.

Thanks in advance. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I would not do this when the tractor is hot, other than that it gets washed a couple of times a year...

As another said above... not while it's hot. Also be careful not to spray directly into electrical components such as the alternator. Other than that you should be fine. When I had mine I washed it nearly every time I used it... but rarely sprayed water in the engine compartment. Another good alternative is to use compressed air to clean it off.

I routinely spray under the hood and around the engine when washing the beast. I don't use high pressure and I make sure I don't direct the spray on electrical components. No problems so far.

As advised, make sure engine is cool.

NO!!! Do not get your tractor wet, keep it in a garage at least 68 degrees, do not let it get muddy, do not use it, you must name it(female name of course). Do not sit on it, run it, use it. Change the oil every weekend.

Just wheel it out on partly cloudy days (sunny days under a sun screen), pull up a lawn chair and get a tall glass of tea. Then just look and admire it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Man I'm glad we caught this in time. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
