This was last summer, and the prices I saw quoted online for brand new Kiotis were quite reasonable. I have seen mixed reviews about their quality, but they did have a 40 hp machine with loader specs that were better than orange and green tractors of the same size. So I contacted a couple dealers here in NY state, and the prices they quoted me were not "in the ballpark" of the ones quoted online. I would never want to "mail order" a $25-30K machine, but the prices these guys quoted me were far in excess of what I expected and more than the Kubotas of the same size. I would want a dealer to be available to service my tractor, but either the online sellers are fake or these guys were shooting numbers that had come from their fantasies.

We had a "local" dealer (25 miles away) that carried the rebranded Kiotis from Bobcat, but Bobcat is no longer in the business. In the months that followed, I got frustrated and decided to buy a new-ish pickup instead, getting a Tacoma without a lot of bells and whistles that had been a Toyota "loaner," so I'm out of the new tractor search for some time to come, but aren't Kiotis supposed to be a bargain-type brand? Should a CK4010 HST be more expensive than the LIST price of a Kubota L3901?

I just looked online and saw two new CK40110 HSTs for $20-21K with loaders and R4s. Yet the dealers here are talking $26K! It wasn't worth my trouble to drive 50-60 miles to look at them.

Well, checking Kubota's site, the L3901 is more expensive now, but not by a lot. It has gone up quite a bit since 8 months ago.

Prices in this area are running around $19,500 for the CK4010HST and around $18,500 for the CK3510HST. Cheapest dealers I found were in Texas.

Your local dealer is ridiculously overpriced on these tractors.

I have had Kubota, Kioti and New Holland and found the Kioti to be equal to the other tractors in pretty much every sense. Being a little cheaper is a bonus.

The street price of Kubota's are about 10% off the online "build and price" price. I would assume that Kioti does the same thing but I don't know for sure.

I like Japanese tractors (Kubota and Yanmar) but the Koreans are playing a good game with top quality machines at competitive prices. Kioti is probably the best established Korean brand in North America with prices close to the Japanese brands.

The best bang for the buck Korean tractor right now is probably the new RK tractors sold at Rural King. They're rebranded TYM tractors with Yanmar power trains and long warranties. Branson, LS, and TYM are good price beaters as well.

I had never been given a fair quote on anything in New York to this day!

Look south of the border!
