Buying Advice Warranty

Wouldn't surprise me any as Mahindra has extended theirs on new tractors from 5 to 7 years but don't know what the hour warranty is. My Branson (2016) is 5 years or 2000 hrs. I would think most owners (non-commercial) won't see even 1,000 hrs in that time, so lengthening the time period could be an advantage for most of us.

Just heard warranty will be extended as if july1st.

A warranty to me, regardless of the product, is a means of understanding what the mfgr. thinks of his product. If he has a solid warranty and I am looking to purchase the item, he gets my bucks. Whether or not I exercise it is my option.
I just bought a $7200 lawn mower and upon making the purchase asked the dealer about the warranty. I told him that I am quite a ways from him and do my own work. Taking things to the shop is not an option for me....he answered with: "Good thought as we are 3 weeks behind right now in the shop" and this was in April. I asked him if I presented my purchasing paper work and submitted parts which I removed will you honor the warranty and supply me with replacements without having to bring my machine in? He agreed. Fine.
Note: On shop being full, this is a multi-product, high volume dealer in a metropolitan area. His business is bursting at the seams but expansion is out of the question due to the high cost of adjacent real estate...he is on a well used interstate highway. I don't hold that against him.

I purchased my tractor July 1, and got 6 yrs, according to dealer. Hope I never need it, but nice to know it's there...
