Kioti DK50SE HST w/FEL, Gravely 60" ZTR Mower. Stihl MS290 (selling), CS261, & FS190 + Echo CS400 & 2010 F-350 6.4 PSD snowplow truck
I think I am about to buy a DK50SE HST w/FEL.

I am just curious if there have been any kind of serious warranty issues, or really just if there warranty issues at all.

My impression is that this is a quality tractor, but I thought I'd ask the owners if there are fit and finish, or infant mortality type issues etc.

Thanks in advance & Happy Tractoring!

Make sure you are aware of the warranty dates. The FEL is only covered on a 1 yr. warranty for example.

Before you sign the paperwork and its "yours", go over it with a fine tooth comb. Check all the hard/sharp edges of the loader arms (90 degrees) and make sure no paint is peeling....mine was. Didn't see it until it was home for 3 days b/c I was too excited to get it home. No problem as my dealer took care of it during the 50 hr service.

Not a warranty issue but.....double check your grease zerks on the pivot pin for the front axle (2 of them...front & back). I have the hardest time getting grease in mine. A very TIGHT tolerance there.

I've not have any problems with mine (knock on wood) and I have 145 hrs now (bought May '10). It has been a real pleasant experience to date!!!

Oh, make sure your dealer gives you a "Black" and an "Orange" Kioti hat....gotta be fashionable when you play....oh I mean when you work!!:laughing:

Congrats on your choice and can't wait to see some pics!!!

I received my DK35 HST March 26, 2011. It is at 123 hrs. and I've had no issues.

I think one item to keep an eye on is the loader-to-tractor frame bolts. The loader manual calls for re-torquing them every 25 hrs. Each time I've re-torqued mine I have found a couple that moved slightly. It's easy to miss this requirement in the maintenance routine because it is just mentioned in the loader manual. My dealer now recommends using blue (medium) Loctite on those bolts. I intend to do that soon.

The wheel bolts are to be re-torqued every 50 hrs. I found a few slightly loose(turned 1/4 turn or so) front wheel bolts when I checked them at the 100 hr mark.

Regular inspection for loose hardware, leaks, rubbing lines, etc. will reduce the chances of more serious repairs.

I have an 08/09 dk45. Almost 900 hours. Have had a couple of minor issues and two major ones but all was covered under warranty. There are a few rust issues that will have to be addressed soon. I paint the loader bucket in fall and spring degrease and re-grease all fittings on a regular basis. I haven't abused or over worked the tractor but do have a lot of hours on it. On a scale of 1 to 10 I am at about a 7+ regarding my purchase.

Ive only had my Dk45SE HSt cab for about 5-6 monyhs, have put 70 hrs on it.....love it. A minor fuel cut off solenoid issue that the dealer repaired is all. There have been a few squawks about backup squeal on some cab tractors. Mine has made the noise a few times, and I'm thinking about trying the dealer hose refit that Kioti will pay for, but mine only does it rarely, so I'm not sure if i want to mess with it. Some people complain about alot of squeal (theres a post here about it...like 20 pages worth). When the radio and air are on...i couldn't hear it if i wanted to anyways.

I have a 2006 dk 65 cab tractor at less than 100hrs tractor hung in 1st gear new shifter forks, less than 150hrs bearing goes out in transmission, less than 200hrs rear rim bolts had to be replaced, 388 hrs injector pump goes out $3,800.00 to replace. A part inside of the pump came loose and destroyed the pump, less than 500hrs pin in front loader comes out bends cylinder, 653 hrs front axle breaks off while mowing hay. I have 5 other tractors and have operated tractor for over 30 years, this is worst tractor i have ever seen. My dealer quit selling them due to the quality of the tractor. Now my closest dealer is 80 miles away. I do nothing with this tractor but mow hay and move the round bales. Looking up parts for the front axle they have redesigned the axle and what should have cost 300.00 is now 823.00 to repair their problem just for the parts. If they gave me this tractor i would not take it. If you want a tractor that you can use don't buy a Kioti

mojoo77 , sorry you had so many problems with your tractor. Sounds like my Ford Explorer, Eddie Bauer edition that I bought new  in 1992. I have 330 hours on my CK35 HST. Have only had a couple of minor issues with it and they were looked after promptly thru the dealer. Now my neighbor bought a new JD 55 HP tractor last year and within 3 months :confused2: in had to be split in half for repairs. I think any product can, for some reason, have/be a lemon. :)

The coffee holder is from a yacht shop. It is the type that folds together when not in use.
I have it mounted to one of the support posts in the cab. Unfortunately the year I bought mine they did not design into the cab a coffee holder... now I hink they have 2-3 in there!
