A loader is much more useful, much more versatile, than a Box Blade.

A loader will do some of the same tasks as a Box Blade, especially smoothing.

A Box Blade is capable of very little a loader will do.

Prioritize on a loader.

We occasionally see old Ford tractors for sale in the 3-4K range but the tires usually need to be replaced and no attachments. You don't want a money pit.

I opted for a Kioti CK30 with FEL, box blade and a brush hog. Have used everything to my satisfaction but the FEL gets the most work. Successfully reclaimed a stone/scrabble/gravel driveway that had literally gone to sticker grass in 2 seasons but had nothing but a Deere rider mower and a handheld sprayer. Pretty paltry equipment for about 48 yards of material to maintain.

Lightly used tractors are not very plentiful, if downright rare. Sometimes a dealer will have a trade in, most times an estate sale isn't a bad place to shop. I looked for months before deciding to buy new with a warranty.

Best of luck but out here in TX, 5K doesn't stretch very far for a reliable tractor with even one attachment like a brush hog.

You should be able to find a good grey market Yanmar with FEL for 7K to 9K...
I know that is more than your 5K budget but IMHO the extra spent would be well worth it...
I would search the internet utilizing E bay, Craigslist, Searchtempest, and Tractorhouse to get an idea of pricing and availability...
Before purchasing a grey research the popularity...
I owned a YM1700 for 14 years and parts were never an issue...
Darn thing never needed anything except oil changes and servicing...
Just as an aside...
Our church purchased a 5020 Allis Chalmers in 1980 that was produced by Hinomoto...
Honomoto is out of business and so the tractor is orphaned...
But...
This year we had to replace the water pump on the tractor...
Water pump, belts, and hoses...
Total around $200...
Parts for many orphaned major brands are still available...

well i guess the old Ford is out and because i am not in a big hurry i will just keep looking and when i see something i like i will ask all of you for your advice again. i have searched craigslist and oodle.com but there are so many scams that it is ridiculous as they tell you they are in the military somewhere and to give them a deposit and they will ship it to you free of charge, just scams. i will keep in touch and thanks to all of you.

There are a lot of used tractors auctioned on eBay, where you have some protection.

You can create a search on eBay to include an area only within a set radius from your home.

Tractors on eBay are found under BUSINESS AND INDUSTRIAL > HEAVY EQUIPMENT.
