Wanting to buy a grapple for John Deere 4200 Compact Utility tractor with 420 Loader

...the problem is that my 420 series loader/bucket interface doesn't look like it will fit the grapples advertised for JD 420 loaders on the internet. I've posted a pic of my interface. Can anyone help me figure the best solution or what interface I do have? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

That looks to be the mount that will fit both 300/400 series loaders, which have one peg at the bottom, as well as 500 series loaders, which have 2 pegs at the bottom.
Most attachments designed to fit both are really too heavy for optimized performance when installed on the smaller tractors.

It should be the same. Your bucket is the Deere QT system and they haven't changed them to my knowledge. It should fit up. That particular grapple looks a little heavy for that tractor/loader. You might try Everything Attachments. They have a nice 50" grapple that is lightweight yet sturdy. I bought one last fall and used it to move a lot of brush.
Worked fine. They can also make them to fit the Deere QT system.

Two months ago I purchased the 50" wicked grapple from EA for my JD4300 with a 430 FEL. It took all of 5 minutes to unhook my bucket and attach the grapple to the JDQA. I was working with it in 30 minutes. Great product, fit my loader perfectly. Good luck with your purchase.
