Dealer Want to purchase CK20, but dealer is 70 miles away

( Wow! I guess I really hit a nerve with my original post. I want to thank all those who responded. Your input is very helpful. To clear up some issues. I have, indeed, done a lot of research prior to my post. I have looked at a lot of tractors and read many posts. I have come to the conclusion that both the Kubota and the Kioti are wonderful machines. I had put the Kioti ahead of the Kubota BX23 based primarily on my own specific needs (I think I need a little heavier machine and also the higher ground clearance). Since I also found the Kubota to be an excellant machine, I was seriously considering it mainly because of the distance (70 miles) between me and my nearest Kioti dealer. I never intended to asked to be sold on either brand. My main point was my concern about dealer support from that distance and whether that would/should preclude purhcasing the Kioti.
Again, thanks to all who offered thier comments.)

Unless I missed it, you haven't said anything about what you decided? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif G

This thread made for some interesting reading, that's for sure! Like Gerard, I didn't notice if you made a final decision. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for bringing this back to your original point /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif- , All things being equal (which they never are) I ended up going for the combination of tractor/dealer that I liked best. Fortunately for me that also worked out to be the closest one. It is obviously more convenient to have the dealer close by - period. I don't care what folks say about the drive - for me, having the dealer 10 minutes away has helped out on more than one occasion. As an example my dealer stopped by my house Friday night to show me some feature on my tractor that I had never used (BH removal). I doubt that would have happened as easily if he was 70 miles away...

Just weigh what you want to do with the machine - and then consider the practicality of having a dealer closer. If the Bota will do what you want then that sure seems like life just got easier! If not, then it's Kioti and 70 miles drive, either way you get a great machine. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
