Winches Want to install a winch on my CK25

Hi Folks,
I bought a 2000lb winch for my ck25, figuring there must some place to mount it on the front. It's just a simple cable winch, the type you would find on an atv or small truck. Any suggestions along with wiring would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'd look to the front of the frame where a grill guard/bumper goes. There's four holes to start with for mounting and making a winch mounting bracket shouldn't be to hard. Your battery is up front and I would put the winch selonoid there to keep your power cables as short as possible for better current to the winch. Some people prefer rear mounting of a winch. Their idea is, if your stuck, why winch yourself farther into it. With a front mount and usually two pullys, you can take the cable backwards. I've seen this done on 4x4 vehicles. I guess it all depends on what you want to do with the winch.
