Want to change my seat on my 1643 Massey , with to choose??

I already asked this on the Massey Ferguson site but realized any person with any tractor could help me. I do not like the original seat on my Massey, it is so hard and uncomfortable, my older metal seat on my Oliver was a lot smoother. So I looked and saw that Grammar model 85 looked like a lazy-boy seat, seem comfortable and is a mechanical seat ( not pneumatic ). I want to know if anyone bought this kind of seat or any other make will do but it has to be a smooth ride . I do not want to make an error because those seat are not cheap ( some are near $900 cadn). My Massey is an open station but it sleeps inside. Thank you for your help. Roger

Just curious why you would go to all that trouble and choose a mechanical seat over a pneumatic.

Because my tractor is an open station and those pneumatic seat cost a lot, what I've seen they are $1200 to $1500 and you need them to be on a 12 volt pump, I do not know if they are reliable and tough......do you know them well and are they reliable. Any brand to suggest ??? Thank you answering. Roger

My Ford tractor has this seat. It's very comfortable. Universal fit. Not pimping Orscheln's, you can find these seats all over the place or various suspension design and color. Do a Google search or ebay.

Pay careful attention to dimensions. Do some good measuring on your tractor. I shopped and bought a similar seat for my little JD. Converted from a non suspension seat to a mechanical suspension. Fantastic modification!!!!

Here's another example. The one on my Ford has the kidney support arms. the one on my JD does not. They don't really add any comfort that I can tell. Makes the little JD easier to get on/off without them.

I guess if you went to the dealer and sat on different tractor seats you might find one that works

Northern Tools makes a black suspension seat for about $500 that everyone seems to love.

I have one simular to the one ovrszd mentioned only made by Michigan "https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200268424_200268424" . Got it at Northern for something like 280 on sale. Took a month to get it though. So don't be in a hurry.

Also have this "https://www.suburbanseats.com/p/ultra-low-profile-mechanical-suspension" on the yanmar .

Both work great. You won't be sorry.
