VW for Sale

New paint! ...needs engine...U-tow...best offer.

Saw this abandoned/dumped by the side of the road and could not resist. I suspect it was stolen for the engine. It wasn't there but a few hours and someone either took it for parts or it was towed to the police impound lot only a mile away.

This is a well-used unathorized dumpsite and that's why the paint was so handy for some vandals to add their contribution.

I had a 64 bug but not the first !

What a coincidence! I had a '64 and traded it in for a new '70. When I got divorced, my ex-wife took it because it was paid for. I haven't owned one since and I don't think I've even been in one since that time. Nothin' against being in one, it just hasn't happened by coincidence in over 30 years.

...now that old '64 was a beast. I replaced the king pins under a shade tree in my front yard when I was a young E-4 in the Navy. I don't ever want to do that again.
