Can anyone provide me Step by Step instructions for testing a voltage regulator on a 4630 ford tractor.
I have bought a new battery for it but after 2-3 days of use the battery is completely drained. After charging it then it will last a few more days. Someone told me it might be the voltage regulator which cost $140 and I would like to make sure that is the issue before making the purchase.

Looks like your alternator has a "built in" regulator. You would need to replace the whole alternator.
They are around $100, get yourself a voltage meter tester (their pretty cheap) and with the tractor running, test the voltage on the battery post's, you should read around 14 volts or so when its charging.
12 volts or in the 12 range indicates no charge.
But first, check the wiring on the alt to make sure all is good and check the fan belt tension on the alt to make sure its not slipping.
