It would be fitting if each one of them got 1/10th that much appreciation from the PEOPLE in their communities when they return. Then again, some smart person said the great thing about a dog is they greet you the same whether you've been gone for an hour or a year. I love the motto: "I'd like to live to be half the person my dog thinks I am".

I keep my little female dachshund in the kitchen when I'm at work all day and she greets me like that everyday when I get home! Or maybe she's just happy because she knows she's about to get fed???

I was touched. I was working around the barns today and my two dogs ran out to meet me. They had been eating horse poop. They shared their horse poop with me.
