After trying to sell my 5000 series cub cadet for a couple months now it finally sold yesterday. That was a great machine, and was sorry to see it go. But I know that i am doing the right thing because an after market back hoe on it would of just not had been right, it is obviously not made to take one.
Well after a lot of time spent watching and reading post here on this site I am finally ready to make a move. The info that one can get on this site is just invaluable. You could almost make a decision with out even going to the dealer to actually see it.
I filled out the loan papers this morning and the dealer is going to send them in on Monday. I will be getting the ck20s hst with front loader and the back hoe. The things that people have to say about the ck20s seem to be all great things and a very few bad things. The tractor is still in the crate, as is the loader also. He does not have the new back hoe with the curved boom in stock so he is going to order one with his next order in the next month or so, this beats having to pay 300.00 dollars to get one shipped. So as long as the loan paper work goes in with no problems Monday, I hope to pick the new tractor up Monday or Tuesday, I cant wait. There will be pics.

Awesome! Congrats and Welcome to the Pack!

Make sure you get the updated loader too! It is model KL120B as opposed to just KL120. You can also tell by the fact that the updated loader has a torque tube the runs through both loader arms while the older loader has a boxed in frame between the arms with an inspection plate that was prone to cracking around the bolt holes.

I have found that the two hooks welded to the top of my loader bucket are incredibly useful and you should have some put on before delivery or weld them on yourself. My dealer put them on for free. Also make sure you have some feet on the backhoe stabilizers and not just the flat brackets.

Looking forward to some pics.

Congrats

As a former CC owner, I can tell you that you did the right thing by not putting an aftermarket backhoe on that 5000 series. I have seen one, and my old service guy saw several more, that had twisted frame. They were not built strong enough for that, although CC sold the backhoes for them (well for awhile anyhow).

I wish you would have put your old CC next to your new kitoti. I did at the dealer, and the CC was smaller by far in comparison to a comparable kioti.

You may want to test it, after they uncrate it, at the dealer. Or if they deliver, have him/her set some time aside when you try it out. The hardest thing I think you will have to get used to are the pedals. THe CC I had, had a rocker pedal for fwd REV (HST). When I switched to Kioti, the pedals are side by side. It was a little confusing at first, but after 20 hrs or so you unlearn the old way. The HST system itself is much more responsive too. The CC tended to drift and I needed to use the brake, the Kioti stops on a dime.

Have fun.

You'll love the CK20. Great machine. If I could afford to own two tractors I'd still have mine. :)

I believe the CK20HST still has the rocker pedal.

wow, i didn't notice that. Sorry for the inaccurate info. I spent most of my time around the DK35, 40, 45.

If anything, I wish Kioti had the rocker pedal on the 45. I liked it, and it kinda made sense. Just saying I liked the simplicity of it. I know some guru may tell me why they can't, but they could if they wanted to.

I still find the kioti's hst to be much more responsive.

congratulations on your new machine.....
i have had no problems with my machine, best money i've spent ..... as far as problems go i think that dealer prep and testing is the biggest key.... dave at upper valley tractor did a great job on mine.. your dealer should set it up and test (relief valves, etc..) it before they deliver.... as far as the loader goes, even the strongest most reliable loaders will crack when not used properly....
good luck and let us know how it goes....

Congratulations Natem. You are right about the 20, very few negative comments on that tractor. Good luck and post pics when you have the time.
