Vermeer 605L twine arm problem and monitor wont 'learn'

I have a 1999 model and when I go to apply twine the twine arms stay in the middle for too long and when they go to move they don't pause for the end wraps. On top of that my monitor wont produce the bales that I programmed. I called Vermeer but I am still waiting for a call back and the dealer in my area doesn't know too much.
