I also looked at the old Haban and i see it could be easily mounted on the front and it would drive off the front pulley and a a cylinder raise and lower the bar plus you can raise the whole unit with the arms. I think this will keep me out of trouble when i try to get too close to the edge.

I actually got the stuff to make one years ago. It was a little sickle bar mower off of a Gravely tractor that had the sickle bar mount on the side of it.

There you go, what drove it a belt? most Gravely were center mounted i thought..
