Hi Guys: I hope this is the right place to post this discovery! If you are like me, and have numerous vehicles, tractors, implements and other small engine devices that you do maintenance on, you might be interested in this product. I am speaking about a software application known as Chris' Auto Recorder. It is a program that you can download that will work for every vehicle, implement & machine that you own. I flunked record keeping as a student, but this program makes it easy to keep accurate records of all maintanence performed on all your equipment. I don't want this to sound like a commercial, so I am going to try and add a hot link that will take you there. You can use this program for everthing from a string trimmer to a combine! Mike: Have you downloaded this program? All I did was brouse it and it appears to be workable with any and all machinery. What were your findings?

That looks pretty slick. Anyone know if there is a similar maintenance app for a PDA?

Search for "Car Care" for a similar app that works on both Palm Pilots and on your PC - with automatic synchronization between the two. I went down this road to keep track of my maintenance on my Palm. Then I found I could not reliably keep track of my Palm Pilot! I need a directional locator that works across town.

From now on I only keep track of my vehicles on my computer.

Car Care does keep track of hours OR miles, so it would work for a tractor. It isn't quite as feature-filled as CAR but it seems very well written.

Update: I downloaded "Chris' Auto Recorder" and the installer didn't want to run on Win2000 Pro. Then I went and upgraded Car Care. It always has and still does run fine. I recommend it over the Auto Recorder.

Where can I find "Car Care"? Does it have the provision to use hours in place of miles? Would it be suitable for monitoring the maintanence of machinery? Thanks for the thought, sorry about so many questions

Sorry about the above post! I didn't read Dave's first post or I wouldn't have asked questions that he already answered. I should change my handle to: Boob33!!!
