I would like to add a Hydraulic top link to the 790. The tractor has a rear power beyond, which is is just a hose between the QD ports. My question is it seems that any open center valve would work, like a log splitter valve. I go to the Northern Tool website, and someone asks the question if the OC valve will work with Power Beyond, and the vendor says no, you need a power beyond OC valve. I see in one of the schemetics shows the PB OC valve has two return ports. I'm confused.

I had the same tractor and added a hydraulic top link of my power beyond. I found the correct valve at surpluscenter. com and they were very helpful.

My 770 lacked rear SCVs. Quite a pain. Ran hoses from the front Loader ports, as it didn't have a loader, just snow blower.
Friend just got a similar low end bare bones tractor, MF 1035. Also, didn't realize it didn't have SCVs out back. Or a loader, or anything to run it. BUt it was such a STEAL! I think his hair has gone from Grey to Snow White, over this project! Trying to source parts or even information on twenty year old equipment.
PEOPLE! Buy a tractor with what you want on it already!
Oh, on another previous CHEAP tractor, an Iseki, he blew the pump off the side of the motor trying to ADD hydraulics. Closed center. Don't EVER STOP THAT FLOW!!!
