While looking for a TC-55 I happend across a used 2003 TC-45. It only has about 40 hours on it and is a non-loader ready tractor. It has the gear transmission which I do prefer over HST, and it has R1 ag tires with one rear remote.
I will be adding a loader and joystick for sure, but will not be able to get a package price discount on it, as the tractor would be from a private sale. So to compare this deal to new tractor I must factor in a little higher price on the loader to get the package price. What would be a good discount off of list price on just the loader from a dealer? Also there is no 0% interest on used tractors another factor here.
I had my mind set on a TC-55, I could use the extra power and lift capacities, and the ESSS is my favorite tranny in a tractor. I also looked hard at the TN series but they are just to big for the woods work I have. The cheapskate in me says I could make the TC-45 work for me, if it was a good enough deal.
So that is the question, what price on this TC-45 would be to good to pass up? This tractor has been on the market for quite some time and seller appears to motovated to sell it.
