Hello: I always enjoy discussing Valmets. Being one of first Valmet owners in Canada in 1995, I have watched its growing popularity here in N.S. We have "logged" over 12500 hours on our 6600 Valmet in our farming and forestry operations and am totally empressed with it. Hoping to hear from other users. Jim

Yes Sarah is right valmet was tied up with volvo and was sold under BM VOLVO but i think i have read somewere that valmet was the main part of the partnership .On there website it has got background info on valmet .

I just wanted to mention here that i owned and ran a gun shop in Alaska for many years. I sold Valmet rifles and shot guns. They are excelent quality, and i hunted all over Alaska with a Valmet O/U - 12 guage/3006 combination gun in my hands. I still have the very first one that came into my shop, and it's still a great gun.
