So Id like to put something like the Carlisle Tru Power 29X12.5 -15 C/6PR (1 Tires) | eBay tires on my Toolcat but keep hearing you have to have the rims for Turf tires need to be used because they are 12.50, what if I have the regular Industrial style skid steer tire rims, are they more narrow like 10.50 ?, is that the issue ? Why can't it be used, would the tire balloon too much ? Hopefully someone has been thru this ?

The turfs use a 15x10 wheel (pn 6688857) while the ind tires use a 15x8 wheel. Yes, a narrow wheel with a wide stiff tire for the toolcat would tweek the tire weird.

Also, I don't know if I would want 6ply C rated tires.......maybe go at least a 8ply D rated......
If I ended up with one with 15x8 industrial tire wheel and I needed to find the 15x10 wheels for Turf tires, where would I find them, I'm wondering if there is any other 8 lug wheels 15x10 that would fit, I remember reading somewhere about a trailer wheel fitting ?

The newer toolcats are 6 lug on 5.5" BC (139.7mm) The older toolcats are 6x6" Just get strong wheels to handle the forces that can be put on them.
I thought 8 lug like a skid steer ? Hmmmm What year did they change the Bolt Circle to 5.5? Do you by chance know what backspace does it use ?

The old 6x6 BC matches many implement wheels while the newer 6x5.5 matches trailer wheels and some truck wheels. Just make sure the center hole is big enough. The wheels seem to be a near zero offset design. I wonder if they switched the bolt circle when they went with independent front suspension?

Looks like the late 07 D series and up can take a bigger tire without rubbing the fuel tank, has 2" more ground clearance, looks like the wheels are 4" backset (5/8" or as you say close to zero offset), does that make sense 4" backset with zero offset ? Actually I think that changes wth the width of the wheel ! And with a 4-5/8" ( 4.625") center hole. I wonder if that is the year they switched to 6x5.5 bolt circle from the old 6x6 BC ?
