This is my old timer utility water hose reel. I needed to light off my burn pile. Thought I’d post a picture.
Way back when, I purchased a hose reel cart. It didn’t last long. So I salvaged the hose reel, made my crude cart, and made a PCV water tube and hose swivel. Well this thing has really worked great. I made it in 2016 and just today the swivel is leaking some water.
I can easily remove the swivel, replace O’rings and it is back in service. I’m moving and I’m taking it with me. Not sure if I’ll have some use for it at the new place. The metal reel is rusting out. If I keep it I’ll go to a large size PVC, 6”, for a reel.
