BCS 739, Cub Cadet 2544
Here's a flatbed utility trailer I made for my BCS 739. Procured just about everything except some hardware and the lumber from John's Scrap Yard. Most of the load bearing structure is 1 inch schedule 80 (thick walled) steel pipe. It looks like the wheels are off the front of a cub cadet garden tractor but I switched out the bronze bearings with ball bearings.

I made it to haul some old railroad ties down into the woods to get rid of them. They were 8 foot oak, and soaking in the ground for decades. It took all my strength just to roll them over, cut them in half, and tip them up on the trailer. I'd guess they went about 300 pounds and I'm 150.

Thanks BCS. I'm glad to see them gone.

Good design. Great pictures. Please post a picture showing the underside of the trailer, especially how the axle is mounted to the bed. Really like the footrest.

Nice job, I noticed the red snowblower, did you buy a blower for the BCS?

Did you buy local?

It's pretty simple. I made it as modular as possible because I didn't know if I was going to be happy with it or want to change things. The trailer is just welded flat and angle, with a hardened steel 3/4 inch axle. (I didn't know it was hardened until I got it home and ruined a power hack saw blade on it.) Then a PT bed held on with 10, 1/4 x 1 1/2 lags. The main pipe is held to that with two u-bolts. TSC has a large selection of u-bolts. The seat and floor board components are held on with muffler clamps. The muffler clamps are much stronger and hold better.

That is a Troy Bilt storm tracker snowblower. It works ok but doesn't throw the snow very far. It will only throw heavy snow about ten feet and then it consolidates into an immovable mass of ice. This one is 12 years old. They left out some critical grease fittings in the drive axles. I am very close to getting a BCS snow blower for my tractor. The only thing that is stopping me is that the Troy Bilt just got $110 in drive axle bearings and a drive rebuild 2 years ago. (Yes, I put in grease fittings.) It works as new, not all that well, but it works. And a BCS is $900. Looking forward to this Troy Bilt wearing out again though so I can get a good BCS.

I ordered all my BCS stuff over the internet and BCS shipped them to the nearest dealer.
