Cabela's LM 55 HST Cab [like TYM 554]
So my Cabela's LM55H Cab Tractor w/ LD108 Loader arrived yesterday afternoon.

I will be using this thread to post about my experiences operating it.
It arrived w/ 8.0 hours on the clock, probably had been tested a few times, as well as transported from one Cabela's in Arkansas to TX.

This morning it was 32ー outside, so I started it up & let it idle for 7-8 minutes as suggested, oops recommended by the owners manual. Took it down the driveway smoothing out some of the worst ruts w/ FEL.

Drove back up & parked in yard so as to wash it off when it warms up. There is a lot of dead bugs on the glass from it being on the trailer trasnported from TX.

Opened the hood up to see what i tlooked like, & took out air filter so I can be looking for a replacement soon. 50 hours comes up quick.
Air filter is a Donaldson P822768. Any recommended places for filters online?

You mean they didn't clean off the glass? I'd be giving them a call! The nerve:)
Hope you have fun with it. Was one of a couple they had up here. They are slowly moving off the lot.

Wow, I have not kept up with this thread.

Now show 30 hours on the clock. LOVE the enclosed cab with AC. Today started off very nice at 44コ outside. By thisafternoon, when I was moving dirt, it had warmed, I mean heated up to 97コ! Have to love the mountains when you have a 50+コ temp swing.

For 22+ years, my drive, which is 10-12% slope, has washed away lots every summer during the monsoons. In some places it was 16=18" below ground level. I did some filling in last Sunday, forgot to count bucket loads. Today I have put ~19 6 ft buckets of dirt from the place it had washed down. It's really looking quite good.

This evening when the sun sets, I will have to water it down really good, because it is DRY here, probably 7-9% Rel Humidity.

Have to day the Cabela's by Woods LD 108 loader & bucket are working fantastic. I can really get a couple inches of hard soil scraped off and picked up in the bucket. Not yet good enough with keeping the bucket level, I still tend to dig in too much at times.

Anyway, it's working great.

If it doesn't have the inner safety filter, I'd see about buying one of them also.

Glad to see the tractor is working great. Must be nice in that cab. Enjoy.

GCM,
Sounds like you are off to a good start. If you spend some time in the seat as you are doing you will get the hang of it quickly. A cabbed tractor is the way to go in New Mexico imo and makes the work a lot more pleasant. I have a lot of work to do here in Ruidoso and having cabs with ac in the summer makes it fun.

Looks like a nice tractor hope you enjoy it.

The pics are in this thread

Now I am trying to figure out when to engage the 'Load Sensing' on the tractor. The owners manual is not really much help.

Did you ever figure when to use the load sensing?
The only time I really use it is when using the cruise control while cutting or plowing, if I come across thicker grass or some sort of bog, it will slow the tractor wheel speed down and keep the rpms up, then when it clears the bog it will allow the tractor to speed back up.
