I am hoping to use mine to help me level an area that used to be a big old barn. Now that the building has been demolished and foundation buried, I need to final level it before planting, probably some time in August. I am hoping use of the disk will make the soil blend together nicer, since it has been through all this trama, then with it all loosened up I can boxblade the high spots to the low spots, etc.
Three weeks ago I had given the garden a basic once-over rototilling 'cause the weeds were taking over. It was a bit wet though, so some clod forming happened. The disk this weekend seems to have straightned it all out. The disk brings small stones (under 6 inches across) to the surface. The rototiller buries them.
