Price Check Used TC33d Price

Looking at a 2005, 213 hrs., MFWD, HST, Bi-Steer, Mid-pto(?), 7308 Loader, turf tires, very, very clean all around. Think it could be bought for 13.5 to
14 K.

Questions:

How does this price range sound?

Will this tractor pull a 6' Land Pride finish mower up/down hill cutting 6-8" of grass at least close to as fast as the Farmall 350(40 HP, 3rd gear, low axle range) that I'm using now?

If I came accross a 1 bottom plow, 6-8' disc, or a 5/6' tiller to use for light gardening/yard work in the future, will this thing pull them?


95% of Farmall use now is for mowing, but would like to have something handier to use more in future. But sure don't want to spend $$$$ and end up spending an extra hour or two mowing.

We have a Ford 1520 I think its about 20 HP . We mow about 15 acres weekley some with a 6 ' finish mower. We also have a 6 ' disk and that handles it with no problem. V

i paid slightly more for my 2001 with a 72" mmm.

you can run either a 72" RFM or MMM... either way you can cut some serious lawn in a hurry with a 6 foot deck.

Sounds like you are in the right price range if you're talking to a dealer, a little high if you are buying from a private party. Remember that the dealer has gone through the tractor and checked it out, and could be held liable if it was a lemon. A private party isn't held to that standard.

My 2001 with R4's and loader, over 1100 hours, was about $10k last year.

The 33 should spin a 6' finish mower fine.

Should be fine with a 3pt finish, just stay away from the 6' rear discharge MMM. The rear discharge MMM deck from Case/NH is not deep enough and is more of a mulcher than a discharge. My previous DX33 would mow great in short dry lawn, but get into anything thick or damp and it would bog down to the point of stopping the tractor, letting the motor catch back up, and dropping large clumps of grass as the deck cleared. It was really frustrating and even my dealer mentioned it was a known problem. I'm now mowing with a grasshopper zero.

IMHO.. finish mowers aren't meant for deep grass anyway... and wet vegitation is a clumping problem across the board.. etc..

I agree but I'm talking 5" and my DX33 would stall if you didn't slow to a crawl. The tractor was great but the mowing deck was/is a horrible design.

Yes but is the grass 6-8 inches tall. 6-6 inches of tall, thick grass is a very heavy load.
