Used front snow blower for my BX24

Hi All,

I've found a used snow blower someone I know has in his backyard. Right now it is covered in plastic with stuff piled on top of that. I told him we would wait a week or so for the weather to get a bit nicer (I was also in a hurry and running late for my next meeting).

Anyway, he bought it used a couple of years ago from someone he claims hardly used it (I know these guys well enough, probably true), but he doesn't know when it was manufactured. I know he bought his BX23 new about three or four years ago.

So if the blower fits his BX23, how sure is it to fit my BX24? I don't know if there are overlapping models of snow blowers, if they've all stayed the same for years, etc.

If it turns out this fits my tractor, how do I determine a fair price?

I don't even know where to start looking for this kind of info.
