I have an opportunity to purchase a Kubota BX 2200. The seller is asking $11,000 for Tractor (50 hrs and ~1.5 yrs old), loader, boxscrapper and auger. Now, this tractor has had absolutely no service since new and the auger is not working, it looks like the shear pin just broke but there may be damage to it as well. The box scrapper is missing a tooth. The tractor is missing some cotter pins but otherwize (seems) ok.
From reading these forums it looks like these tractors when new are discounted 15-20% back east but the (2) local dealers here in N.Cal I have been to, only sell the tractor at retail and discount the implements-slightly. So he paid about $15,000 for it when new.
The local dealer said from my desciption he thought $8500 would be a more appropriate price for it. He also gave me a quote for a B7510 with loader and box scrapper for $15,800. One interesting thing about buying from them is that they would rent me implements for $25 for the weekend (backhoe, auger, mower.etc.)
Sorry for being long winded but I just can't seem to get a handle on what a fair price for the bx2200 would be for both buyer and seller and suggestions?
