Used 2007 Kubota RTV900 price?

I found a used 2007 Kubota RTV900 diesel 4x4 with the worksite package. The unit has 700 hours, new tires and a new spray in bed liner. The selling price is $8,300. I am going out tomorrow to look at it.

Just wanted to know if this was a good price, he says over 12,500 new.

I just bought a 2006 RTV900 camo with 2000 hrs and in great shape for 6500.00. That dosen't sound like to bad of a price. Go for it, you won't regret it. I love mine. The tranny takes some time to get used to though. I bought a coast valve for it, but since taken it out. Guess I preferred the engine braking. I have a coast valve for sale if anyone is interested!

Thanks for the feedback on the coast valve. I found the thread about them last night while searching about the RTV900. I drove and priced a new RTV500 last week and was going to get it but decided to look around to see what a used one went for. For less than the price of a new RTV500 I can get into the larger model with the diesel and hydrolic dump bed. Plus already had the roof and front & rear windshields so no extra add on there.

I did not get out to look at this one today as it was a 3 hour one way trip. The guy did email me more pictures and a video of it running around. I went ahead and sent him a deposit until I can get the money from my brokerage account. Hopefully by Friday I should have everything together and will only need to make one trip out there with a trailer.

I was concerned about the hours but 700 hours seems about right for a 2 year old unit. I guess I compare everything to my Kubota tractor where at 6 years old only has 500 hours.

Do these RTV units have titles? I guess that is the first question I should of asked the guy was if he had a clear title.

Probably depends on the state. In arizona I got a title when I bought my RTV900. Check with a dealer in your area if they do.

Doug, in TX the RTV is like a tractor, no title. You should ask the owner to see the bill of sale or record of sale when he bought it new. He should have some kind of paper trail.

700 hours since 2007 means the RTV has been used quite a bit. We have a 2004 Kawasaki Mule and it just turned over 525 hours. We use it daily, but not all day/every day. I think 700 hours use is good. Its actually just broken in. I'll be waiting to see your pictures.

Well we decided not to go with the 2007 with 700 hours. It turns out that it did not have the windshield as described in the add which is another $750 from Kubota if I wanted one. Another thing that bothered me about this one is that this guy was a tractor/equipment broker and did not have much histry on the unit.

Another TBN member has one with very low hours (aprox 100 hours) which we are in the process of closing the deal. It is the same price range. By mid week I should be picking it up.

I just purchased a new rtv, and the dealer told me of an option to turn a hydraulic pressure down to reduce the engine braking. This is without buying the expensive coast valves. I was told that all kubota dealers where told about this and how to preform it. So contact your dealer and they should be able to help you. If not, they are going to teach me how to do it tomorrow. I will post discription of how to do it after they teach me.
