Used 1979 Yanmar 1401D

I was shopping for a compact and had finally settled on a BX25 with backhoe and bucket but was waffling on the price...
Driving along a road this weekend came accross what seems to be a 79 1401D (18hp 3cyl 4wd) with a bucket and a 3 yr old Woods 3pt backhoe. The gent is asking 10500.00 for the complete unit. I dont have a lot of background in tractors and know even less about yanmar.
With the limited information does this seem like a resonable/good buy?

In my opinion, I would spring for the bx unless the price is to high. A yanmar 1401 is way to small to mount a backhoe on let alone a 3 point backhoe.

Yeah, I thought the 14 denoted 14 hp at yhe PTO.........

Well...yes, but that's a Japanese 14hp which is rated a bit more conservatively than the American Hp. So you fudge up a bit for American Hp, and then state engine HP instead of pto Hp and I could see as being realistic 18 pretty quick.
