I currently use a 6 foot single deck brush hog (on an M4900) to maintain about 80 acres cleared... but seriously looking to get into a larger cutting deck... (something around 9 foot to cut down on the cutting time)
land is a mixture of small whips that recover year over year, so a brush hog is really overkill... but it also doesn't balk when it comes time to get it done.
but have started looking into some of those winged cutting decks that can get rather large. Just wondering if anyone has used them, size versus horsepower ratios, etc.
and of course, any recommendations on which brands are the best/most reliable... thanks in advance. Russ
