Tractor
2006 Mahindra 7520 4WD w/ ML 275 loader, bale spear, pallet forks, grille guard & canopy.
I called my dealer today to check on the status of my tractor and to find out when it might be ready to be picked up. I have several acres of hay to get mowed, raked and rolled as soon as I can. It has been at the dealership for about two weeks now. I talked to the service manager and he told me that my tractor had been ready to go for over a week. He told me that he had called my home one afternoon and I was not there but he talked to one of my daughters and told her to make sure that she told me he had called and the tractor was ready to be picked up. Guess what? Daughter did not remember to relay the message to me and my tractor had been sitting down there for a week ready to go. Needless to say, I have been upset with the daughter today.

I did go this evening and pick up my tractor. It is home and back under the barn. It seemed to be running fine and the dealer took care of all the issues I was having with it. From my understanding, there were 3 Mahindra Rep's that showed up at the dealership and inspected and went over my tractor real well. It seems that when the service tech came to my house and adjusted the timing on the pump he got the pump out of time and thus created the bad smoking problem that occured on the day I went to the hunting club with the tractor to work. As far as the smoking problem that manifested in the winter, back when the weather was cold, that seems to be the KSB relay/timer issue. There has been a new KSB relay/timer and jumper wire installed on the tractor. I guess only time will tell if that particular problem is corrected as it only occured during the cold tempertures. We'll see what happens when the waether turns cold again.

The bursted tie rod end boots were replaced and the hold down rods on my battery were replaced where they had gotten loose and fallen off. I guess they were there in the first place. I had never looked until the service tech removed the cover to disconnect the battery. All other issues have been repaired.

I must say that I am HIGHLY impressed with the quick response from the Mahindra Reps who read my original post on the problem with my tractor. I have personally talked via telephone to two of them and I understand a third person also came to the dealership to look over my tractor. They were very sincere in seeing that all of my problems were corrected and were nothing but pleasant each time I spoke with them. I am still amazed at how quickly Mahindra responded to my initial complaints and their commitment to seeing my problems resolved were second to none. I must say "Thanks" to Mahindra and those reps who contacted me on my tractor problems. I also say "Thanks" to my dealer for doing whatever it took to get my problem resolved.

I hope that the majority of the problems are behind me on this unit and I look forward to putting it to work in the field for many days to come. Any more issues and I will be sure to share.

Thanks again to my dealer and to Mahindra for getting these problems worked out.

Mahindra has repeatedly shown that they place a high priority on customer satisfaction with their product. I have yet to see where any reasonable person has not received satisfaction with their tractor. It is very refreshing to own a product that is as good or better than anything else out there and backed up by a superior customer service, its like going "back in the day".
If only the car manufacturers would take a lesson.

CuzPat62,
That is really good news. Keep us updated on future projects, and anything else, good or bad about the tractor.
