Kubota L3830 03: RTV 900
I usually hang out in the Kubota forum and a few others. I need at least a 50 HP tractor with a glide shift and had wanted a L5740 Bota until I found that it only comes in HST. Now I am looking at a DK 55 Kioti. Any of you people that have them could you tell me some of you likes and dislikes.

The DK55 is only available as a 12x12 shuttle shift.

What's wrong with the HST for your application???

If you back off the L5740, I think the L5040 comes with glideshift.

True but on the L5040 I can not get it with a factory cab. Just another one of Kubtoa's brillant moves. I only see this as they are selling to many tractors and want to slow down sales.

Are the DK model comparable to the Kubota M models?

Why don't you want HST? Primary tillage? If so wouldn't the Kubota Ms work for you?

Please don't take offense but those new Kubota's in HST are only made for people that don't not know how to use a tractor. This is what my dealer told me. There are times when I want my engine to lug down, it will enable me to do more before my tires spin. My ears& eyes are perfectly cordinated with my left foot.

Can't take offense, but don't understand either. HST isn't exactly new - lets face it, if you want to do things the old way, why not use oxes and plows?

What you describe isn't neccesary with HST btw. Just feather the treadle. Why do it the hard way?

I am a little disappointed in this forum. In that so far none of the Kioti owners have given any likes and dislikes of thier respective machines. I didn't come here to start a match over yours is bigger than mine.

Give it some time, you asked for advice on a specific model.

Some DK 55 users will chime in when they can.
