There has been an ongoing discussion if Kubota Super UDT can be substituted with other brands synthetic oils. What difference, other than cost, is there between brands, etc. What exactly does "UDT" stand for? I know that "UTF" is Universal Tractor Fluid. I also know that "Super UDT" is Kubota's trademarked name for their synthetic tractor fluid. Do any other tractor manufactures use the letters UDT in the names of their tractor fluids???? To keep this thread on track, and not muddy the waters, please limit comments to synthetic brands of tractor fluids, excluding engine oil.

UTF = Universal Transdraulic Fluid
Suitable for transmissions and hydraulic systems.
