The tractor starts & idles as well as it did brand new and is only used as a mower (OK there is a semi-monthly use to pull the lawn tools also). The last several uses after about 30 to 45 minutes under load (mowing) it goes into what is like the "one cylinder shake" as it shuts down. The first time this happened I thought it was acting like fuel starvation I went ahead and changed out the fuel filter. That was not the cause! It has happened at least 5 times since with same 30 to 45 minute timing.
In trying to trouble shoot further I noted that there are several switches and solenoids that have the potential to shut off the fuel flow to the injectors. Most of them are for personal safety and fuel flow shut off and shut down are relatively quick. Because of shake of the tractor during the shut down I am experiencing, and the time involved from start to actual shut down I believe I can rule out the seat and other personal safety only switches/solenoids. (Anyone disagree?)
I do not believe this is an air flow issue because to the best of my knowledge an airflow issue would not resolve itself over time. Airflow is either obstructed all the time or not at all --
So rather than go in and replace the remaining switches/solenoids all at once I ask " does anyone have any input into which switch or solenoid is the most sensitive to heat? OR is my logic all screwed up and am I chasing the wrong symptom?
