Recently saved a john Deere two row planter from the scrap yard and need some help identifying it the only numbers I can find are 26 g and 347 stenciled on the side of the frame it has steel covering wheels and has a three point hitch

Without a picture of it.... it sounds like a 246-247 model.

I would agree, sounds like a 246-247 planter.. Pictures would be a plus. Someone might be interested in purchasing it if it is for sale...
