Is it taboo for an owner to check the settings of the ck loader hydraulics? The general consensus here, which I share, is the ck is a wonderful tractor with a loader which should be stronger. Has anyone actually tweaked the relief setting safely and is happy with the results?

I'm looking forward to people's comments on how to do it. I have to say though I'm happy with the lift on my ds3510 so it's not something I would tinker with. Is it safe to change, I assume you are talking about the relief valve settings?

No taboo at all, get yourself (make or buy) a simple gauge setup and check the PRV setting, then you will have information to make an informed decision from there. There is quick video on my website showing how to test it.

How to check and adjust the relief valve is easy.

There are two types of tractor relief valve.

The shim type and the adjustable screw type.

With the shim type, you can purchase a certain size shim to increase the pressure a certain amount. You might have to use several. There might be three or more shims in a kit with instructions. You also have to shut the tractor off to change the shims.

The adjustable relief valves can be adjusted with tractor on by turning the screw in to increase the pressure. A good quality hyd gage is essential.

Some people adjust the relief valves to about 50 psi below the pumps max pressure. You manual should tell you the tractor relief valve specs.

You should also know that before any attachments are installed, the main relief valve is the 3pt relief valve.

Loaders are add on attachments, and the loader valve has it's own relief valve.

Once installed, it usually becomes the main relief valve or the first relief valve after the pump. . So all relief valves should be set the same.

A 100 psi increase in the 2500 psi area, will increase the push force on one cyl to about 314 lbs, and times 2 cyls, = 628 lbs.

You can gain some lifting force by tilting the bucket up.

Kioti owners, I am trying to help Chuck with a gauge setup but we need to verify the proper QD's used on his CK35. Here is the info we have so far:

The loader quick connects: Kwan kwang 14 pt 3/8
The remote quick connects on the plastic cap: pt 1/2

I found a KwanKwang catalog HERE but my foreign language skills are a bit lacking.

Anybody know what couplers are used? ISO 7241's or ISO 5675? Any pics up close with a ruler would help also.

If you want to match up couplers, take the numbers and manufacturer and visit your local hyd shop or search the Internet for compatible couplers.

Parker, Safeway, Faster, Snaptite, Stucchi, Eaton, Dixon, just a few manufacturers.
