Wife needs new tires on horse trailer. Old tires have dry rot and are no longer safe. The brand that is sold in Newnan Ga is Turnpike for around 390 for 4. The size is ST225/75/R15.. Does anyone have any history or experence with this tire?. Would this be a safe tire in a 10 ply for a 2 horse trailer?. THanks Cliff

Never heard of them. Price is right though. If it were me I would hunt out Greenballs. Best trailer tire on the market.

I have to agree, I would not put cheap tires on anything that may cost a life if they blow out. CJ

Seems to me if the tire meets the specs it's as good as any other tire. Seems Greenball tires are like most other trailer tires... Imported...Chinese....

I'd stick with an American-made tire (if you can find them). In the past I've had issues with Korean-made tires;I'm sure Chinese stuff is much worse.

Greenballs are Taiwan made. I agree most are imports but I bet I buy a dozen sets of trailer tires per year. The Greenballs are by far the best. The American made Carlisle and Marathon tires are by far the worst.

Take a look at the date. This thread is from 6 years ago. I can tell you 6 years ago I loved the Goodyear Marathon tires. Today they are junk. I like Goodyears overall. Just put a set on my truck in November. So I am not a hater.
Things change year to year. For the last 3 or so the Greenballs are hands down the best. We have them on nearly 50 trailers and not a single failure that was not caused by a outside force such as a nail.
