And not in an Infantry sort of way...
Well I have accepted a deal for an LS. Funny how things work out. 10 minutes after I get home from being chastised at a competitors dealership the LS dealer calls me. Found a R4041H for me (New) for $22,400 then informs me he has a demo he uses at the dealership and would sell me. Went there last night and the demo is very nice. The demo is a R4041H and has 125hrs on it . I get the full Warranty, new R4 tires, and all new fluids and filters. Included is a Taylor Pittsburgh 5' Med. Duty Brush hog, 6' or 5' Rototiller (minus $300 for the 5') and loaded tires (Beet Juice). $23K out the door. I think it is a fair deal.
TSO reminded me in another thread that the R4041 can handle a 6' brush hog. I liked the med duty he had as it was obviously a lot more ruggedly built that the Std. duty right next to it. I will check the price difference and see. The thing is I will only be brush hogging an old ~5 acres pasture a couple times a year and then some older trails in the woods. Not sure if sitting on the tractor an extra hour makes that big a difference to me.
The funny part is that I am getting the original R4 tires which are brand new (tractor was delivered to the dealer in Aug. 2013). Imagine my surprise when we walk into the pole barn and there sits the tractor with metal wheels on it! Not completley metal but heavy conveyerbelt type wheel with thick metal treads on it. Place is owned and operated by Mennonites. Nice folks.
