Turbo Diesel Lawn Tractor

I am trying to figure out what to do for a winter project. I have some thoughts and i would like some help and opinions. I know of a place that has a few 782 cub cadet lawn tractors and i was thinking about buying one and putting a small two or three cylinder diesel engine in it. I love the way a turbo diesel engine sounds so i would want to put one on it.

My questions for ya'll are:
Is this a good base platform for a tractor?
What brand and size of motor?
What brand and size of turbo?

For a couple years, Cub made a lawn tractor with a Kubota diesel in it. Might be alot easier to start with a diesel lawn tractor and add a small turbo than to try and mate a tractor / engine that don't belong together.

I get the challenge and all and I'll be the first one to watch the youtube video and think it is cool and email it to my brother. I've got to give it to you guys, I could never spend my time or money on something like that. I'd just pick up a craftsman lawn tractor for cheap, rebuild the carburetor and mow my lawn.

The thought of the effort, frustration and money gives me the hee bee gee bees.

I have done some research and do know that they did put diesels in them for a few years. However I would like to start this project soon and i would be willing to bet that a 782D would be pert neer impossible to find one quickly as opposed to a gas one. which i already know where three or four are sitting.

If I,I check out other models..Wheel Horse,Bolens,Kubota etc.that age group give idea what you maybe up against..if your mind made up do keep us updated.
