I just purchased one this past summer and really like it because it is so easy to remove and reinstall. It takes less than a minute to either install or remove it, and no tools are needed. You do this while sitting in the tractor seat. It is also flexible and, therefore, much less susceptible to damage from limbs than the previous canopy I had.
I often transport my tractor on a trailer. I remove the canopy and put it in the back of my Tahoe or tie it down on the front of the trailer for transport. This canopy CANNOT be left on the tractor at road travel speeds--it would easily be torn off. I tried it once and had to stop and remove it in less than a mile of road travel. I don't consider this to be a problem at all.
Tuff-Top advertising claims that you can assemble this out of the shipping box in 30 minutes. I think this is unrealistic. It might be possible for someone who has done it several times, but not for someone totally unfamiliar with the process. The instructions I received were not at all clear, but a company rep informed me that the instructions have now been completely rewritten. It also takes 2 people to do the assembly--not heavy lifting, but it requires more than 2 hands to hold parts in place and secure the bolts.
All in all, I am very pleased with the Tuff Top XL and recommend it.
